You can fight against your alt or another player of similar skill levels to get a chance to skillup without having to deal with the resting (you don't permanently lose health in those fights so you can do them over and over).

I chose to make 6 of them so that I can "farm" it for faster skillups and to obtain potions quickly.Īnother alternative is to use the pvp arena. Beating the opponent yields money + a potion. Each opponent only uses one type of offense defense, so that allows you to specifically train certain stats. They spawn with a range of 27-33 in offense and 27-33 in defense. They also have two effects on them, one makes them take less dmg (so you can hit them more) and the other makes them deal less dmg (so you can take more hits). Those essentially are buildings you put in your concession that have 3 opponents on 20 minute cooldown. You may want to consider training up your skills by using a fighting pit.

So you could have effective blunt defense of 16 being hit by a mob with 15 blunt offense and take ridiculous dmg because the blunt defense of the armor where you are hit is only 5. The damage you take will be based on the armor value of the part of the hero the mob hits. The effective 16 impacts the chance you will be hit. Your chance to get a skillup in defense is going to be based on your hero's 20 blunt defense, not the effective 16.

For example, let's say your hero skill is 20 in blunt defense and your effective is 16 after factoring in gear and companion. Just like with other skills, your chance for a skillup is going to be based on your hero skill. Is that the primary check (main skill?), and does the mob atk have to be ABOVE my defense, or just within 10 levels? Originally posted by UrielxDenied:Mad, my Defense main skill is 20, but my effectives are lower. Does offense and defense work off of base skill, or adjusted?įeel like I'm really starting to spin my wheels and haven't been making much/any progress the past week or so.

Basically tanking all the hits with my main, and not getting any skillups. So I've been using my character to tank, and followed the guide that said to train in garrun'gol till about 21, but I've spent severl days in the high teens. I have my artisan companion's skill maxed out, and I've yet to see any bellows I can use (or afford). So outside of using potions, how do you break through something like this? Can i somehow try to raise prospecting/forging to get my overall metal level up for that last little bit? Foundrywork is one of them I have 28 metal, and 28 foundrywork, but my adjusted skill is 23.9. Some of my skills are stuck to the point where I really can't advance them. So I started playing around release, and have been messing around with pretty much all of the skills and whatnot.
